Our Protective Paint Process

Protecting your investment from the elements is mission-critical!

Approximate Time In Stage: 3 to 5 Days

High-quality aboveground fuel systems are a notable investment. The quality materials, expertise, and sheer sweat that goes into every Envirosafe™ bulk fuel storage tank and system deserve the respect of a high-end protective coating that will last years and properly represent the Envirosafe brand.

Zinc Primer

(*upon request and recommended for coastal areas with highly corrosive and humid salt air)

Hand Striping Zinc Primer: Because welds have texture some metal can remain exposed to the air after being sprayed. All welds
and plumbing are meticulously and painted and carefully inspected to ensure 100% coverage.

Full Coverage Zinc Primer: Primer is sprayed on to a standard thickness of 3 mils.
The entire system is hand-sanded and prepared for paint.

Polyurethane Paint

Memco Gray – Sherwin Williams (940LV Semi-Gloss)

Hand striping paint: All welds plumbing and connections are meticulously hand-painted and inspected to ensure 100% coverage.

Full-coverage final paint: The entire system is then sprayed to a standard thickness of 9 mils.

Inspection: A complete system surface inspection is conducted and verified. A mil test is done and a report can be drafted if requested in advance.

While Memco Gray is our standard and the most popular color white is also available at no additional charge. Other colors and paint types are available and must be specified in advance. Custom paint colors or types might require a small additional charge.
